    The use of seabirds to detect changes in marine ecosystems spans from fish stocks to plastic pollution, from changes in food webs to the global transfer of contaminants (Piatt, Sydeman, & Wiese, ). We aim to provide context and background on anthropogenic-related issues, such as those where the research community has a history of.
